1. How do
your personal / unique qualities best fit the International
Pageant system?
My
intuitive nature allows me to see people for who they
are and appreciate all the qualities they possess,
whether good or bad. In this global society, and the
International system, we can learn so much from each
other if we embrace our differences.
2. What is
something that few people know about you?
Being
an open person, I'm liable to reveal TOO much! In
college, I struggled with a bout of depression, leaving
me unable to function normally. I just went through the
motions of living. With help, I overcame depression and
am much happier and thankful for my life.
3. What do
you do to stay healthy?
Not
being naturally athletic, I have to keep moving every
day. I do the little things like taking stairs when
possible, playing tennis with a friend, walking from
across campus where I work and staying clear of too much
fat and sweets. Chocolate cheesecake is my downfall
though!
4.
Everyone talks
about “Family Values”. What are they?
Family
values differ in every culture but several things never
change: mutual respect, teamwork, unconditional love,
spirituality and morality. Throw in an abundance of joy
with a healthy dose of balance, both mental and
physical. It's cliche, but it IS the recipe for a happy
family.
5. What
is your worst habit? Why?
My
worst habit is "impatient procrastination." I sometimes
leave things until the last minute. If I don't get the
response I need at the 11th hour, I get a little cranky.
I have to strike this balance in my own life and not let
it affect my family or others.
